New Kiss Album!

Being a huge Kiss fan i eagerly awaited the release of their new album "Sonic Boom" here about five weeks ago and i have been really impressed with the way they seemed to of captured that classic Kiss sound of the late 70's.

In the states the album was released on the 6th October and debut on the American Billboard rock chart at No1 and No 2 on the Billboard 200 chart yet here i havn't heard it receive any air play yet.

Do you think there is any chance we are going to start hearing any of the album or even the first single "Modern Day Delilah" here on Vega?
I remember when AC/DC'S Black Ice was released here it was pumped straight away and has been since, but for some reason Kiss, one of the greatest rock bands in the world hasn't had any air play???

Jimi,

The album is full of great tracks like Modern Day Delilah, Russian Roulette, Stand, I'm An Animal.... if your a KISS fan you'll love it. Now if only we could get the people here at Vega to listen to us and start playing some tracks, i'm sure they will get a good response!

Does anybody from Vega take the time to read anything posted on here??? I know the good old days of calling up a radio station for requests are long gone, but it seems imposible to get any response from a radio station these days. Here's an album that has also been rated by one of the herald sun's music crew as one of the top 10 albums of the year and we still can't hear a track on the air waves.

Looks like as mentioned in another post on here that unfortunatly the almighty dollar rules the roost/playlist here as well....real shame!

Anyway, it looks like it's time for me to give up hope of hearing any of this album on the radio, just a shame a commercial radio station in this country doesn't have the guts to add a bit spice to the way they roll.

hey bunga theres a good reason why kiss arent played on the radio - its cos they only ever had 1 good song, and even thats being generous...over-rated flamers!

Hahaha, i love people like yourself old mate with your uneducated musical opinions, really makes sense what you say when they have sold over 90 million albums???? I think what you have to do is get over your jealousy of people who are successful in what they do! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...only one good song.....hahahahahahaha.....you tool.

not jealous - I just dont rate them that highly. the only decent song they had was one inspired by the disco era, the others were forgettable. I will accept I'm wrong if 20 people agree with you on this thread by the end of the weekend - challenge is on bunga!!!

Doctoryeah,

You would be lucky if 20 people took the time to read half of the posts on here, so getting 20 to respond to them is a massive ask, even the staff/moderators won't give you the time of day if you have a question!

Mate i can understand if your not into a band and thats cool, i'm sure there's plenty of stuff your into that i would'nt have the time for, but legends of rock are around for meany reasons. Bands just don't get dozens of gold and platinum albums handed out to them, the proof is in the album sales and sold out shows.
